References to Other Cartoons
After watching "Janja's New Crew" a few times already, I noticed that there were a few similarities with some parts of other cartoons:

1. Janja getting confused when Nne and Tano used objects to explain the plan was similar to Dot getting confused when Flik told her to pretend that the rock was a seed in A Bug's Life.

2. Nne and Tano seem to be the Lion Guard's equivalent to Regular Show's Chad and Jeremy. Both pairs are better at doing their jobs than the main previous pairs, which results in replacement. In addition, the end of their jobs don't turn out so well, which results in the main previous pairs getting their jobs back.

3. Tano reminds me of the T.U.F.F Puppy character Ollie since both of them speak with British accents. Also, Tano's face looks like that one of a rodent's, whereas Ollie is an opossum. So, that would explain their somewhat similar facial features.

Was I the only one who noticed these similarities? Probably. Hehe :-)

Chungu:
Maybe you're better off with them.
We think they're better for you.
We forgot how great it felt to be us.
Guess we really are furbrains.

Cheezi:
We had to use you to fill our stomachs,
But we don't care about that now.
We see a mudslide made out of our mistakes
And it all comes crashing down.

Chungu:
Is there something we can do?
Is there something we can do?
Is there something we can do?
Can we make it up to you?
Mudslide of Mistakes
A lion guard parody of the Steven Universe song "Tower of Mistakes". Maybe Chungu and Cheezi should have sung something like this instead of Chungu's weird cover of "It is time".

Original song belongs to Cartoon Network/Rebecca Sugar

I'm sure everyone has seen at least one episode of the Lion Guard spin-off "It's Unbungalievable!", the short series that teaches kids interesting facts about some animals.

I've been thinking. What if maybe during the Halloween season, when an It's Unbungalievable short starts, as soon as Bunga and Ono start introducing themselves, Janja and Mzingo interfere and kick Bunga and Ono out, which results in Janja and Mzingo taking over the show?

I think that would make a pretty cool twist.

The format of the shorts would still be the same, with Janja saying how cool the featured animals are and Mzingo explaining facts about them, as well as which animal wins in the featured category. However, the difference would be that the shorts would focus more on the defensive and survival sides of the animals (i.e how they fight back, how they get food) instead of just the characteristics and the general life style.

Here are some episode ideas I have in mind, along with the animals that might be ideal for them:

  • Who's more poisonous? (Cobra vs. Blue-ringed Octopus)
  • Who bites harder? (Crocodile vs. Shark)
  • Who gives a sharper sting (Wasp vs. Jellyfish)
  • Who keeps a lower profile? (Chameleon vs. Owl)
  • Who has a bigger warning label (Coral snake vs. Dart Frog)

So, what do you think? It would be cool to older viewers, but I think it might scare the little kids. Hehe.
Last year, Regular Show suffered a huge shipping war in the internet. A crowd of fans supported Mordecai-X-Margaret while another crowd of fans supported Mordecai-X-CJ. As a result, both crowds started fighting over which girl was better for Mordecai. Either Margaret or CJ.

No offense, but to me, that shipping war only made the fandom for the show ugly.

Recently, I read that on of the storyboarders for Steven Universe deleted her twitter account because as she posted her own artwork of Lapis and Peridot togeter, some people who supported Amethyst-X-Peridot bashed her.

With those two shipping wars in mind, I seriously hope that The Lion Guard doesn't suffer the same fate. I know all of us have our own shippings we like to support like Kion-X-Jasiri and Kion-X-Fuli, but maybe it's best if we leave these ships to our imagination for now. If one ship becomes canon, that might trigger a shipping war for this show.
Peridot's Birthday Greeting by s233220
Peridot's Birthday Greeting
Since today is Maia Mitchell's (the voice of Jasiri) birthday, I decided to make a birthday drawing with everyone's favorite good hyena in it. In addition, since the birthstone of August is peridot, I decided to include Peridot (the Steven Universe character, obviously!) as well!

Here we have Peridot giving Jasiri a birthday surprise by popping out of a gift box. As a result, Jasiri ends up becoming surprised indeed!

Happy Birthday, Jasiri!!!

My favorite TV shows are The Lion Guard and Regular Show. Also, I believe that there is nothing wrong about being a child at heart :-)

((This doesn't rhyme but it's still good))

jasiri: everybody wants to be a hyena, because the hyena's the only hyena, who knows where it's at.

banzai: everybody's pickin' up on that hyena beat. 'Cause everything else is obsulete. A Square with a horn, makes you wish you weren't born

jasiri: everytime he plays.

banzai: but with a square in the act, you can set music back

jasiri: to the caveman days.

the aristohyena's.
