In the sewers of New York
filled with roaches and mice,
lived four young turtles
and a rat who was wise.

As a team,
they tore their pizza,
polished their weapons,
and went to bed.

They protected the good
and battled the bad.
And sometimes,
they were very sad.

They started training
at half past nine
in the dark
where no one could see.

The youngest one was Mikey.
