Hey there! Thought I'd do this for fun!

So, I saw these two Disneyland commercials a while back. One is for Disneyland Paris and the other one is for Tokyo Disneyland. In my opinion, both of them are pretty good.

Here they are:

Hey guys!

Hope you're all doing okay. Apologies for not posting a lot of stuff lately. I've been attending to personal matters.

Anyway, aside from from those personal matters, I've been working on an anniversary tribute for a certain game, which I will be posting later this month. If you've been following me since the end of 2017 and onwards, I think you know what game I'm talking about.

Stay tuned for it!

WARNING! SPOILERS FOLLOW!

I just finished watching the second set of Cuphead episodes and to be honest, at least there was improvement.

I really loved the episode with Brineybeard and Cala Maria! Although I didn't expect Cala Maria to sound Russian, she still sounded nice. And it was good to see Brineybeard call Mugman a real pirate in the end. Plus, it was cute seeing that Mugman still had a small crush on Cala Maria as shown in that story he was reading.

In addition, it was nice seeing cameos of Ribby and Croaks, Hilda, and Sally. Regardless if the boat got fixed or not, I'm just glad Ribby and Croaks are doing okay. They probably had some therapy sessions and are taking baby steps in getting along. As for Hilda, I can't really say much since she was only there for two seconds. But I loved Sally's glow-up! She looked fabulous in those pants.

Plus, I love how Mugman has a perfectionist side to him. I found it funny that not only was he mad at the ice cream man because of the music, but it was also because of a crooked hat. In addition, he seemed pretty proud of eating the candy slowly.

However, one episode that I definitely DIDN'T like was the Lost in the Woods episode. I'm tolerable to most of Cuphead's antics but he was being a complete a-hole in that episode.

Lastly, it was kinda sad that Werner was written as a bad guy. I was hoping that the cups would end up having a truce with him.

Still, in the end overall, the second batch was definitely slightly better than the first. At least, Cuphead and Mugman (mainly Mugman) became friends with one of the boss characters and it was set in stone. Plus I appreciate how Hilda and Sally were simply passerbys who greeted the cups nicely.

Just to be clear, I've never watched the original series since I'm not a 90s kid.

However, I decided to watch the movie of the same name last week and I gotta say, it's pretty good! Sure it could've been better, but I like how it's in the same universe as Roger Rabbit, with the difference being that it takes place in today's time period.

In addition, I also love that toons of different animation styles coexist, as well as how there were so many characters from different companies that appeared. While people were surprised at Ugly Sonic being in the movie, I was more surprised at Randy from South Park making an appearance.

Anyway that's all I have to say. If you love crossovers, you should definitely check this movie out 😁

Full Title: Review on Amphibia and, in some cases, why it did better than other franchises I follow.

1. All the characters are well written

It's really intriguing how a lot of major characters are complex. Sasha cares for her friends but goes about it the wrong way by being too controlling, and Marcy committed something extreme for the sake of being with her friends despite the fact that her friends were not into her interests. And while Anne was more of the neutral person in the group, half the time, she slacked off and wanted things done her way. Fortunately, they've managed to grow into better people overtime.

Next, the plantar family had their own moments to shine as well. Hop pop learned to be open-minded to change, Polly learned to be more responsible, and sprig learned to be respectful towards other people.

An honorable mention I'd like to put here is Toady. He went from being a doormat to a bold guy and I loved it!

2. Not too much bias among species.

As what I have said before, in this show, an entire species does not fall under a single alignment. While the hierarchy is that frogs are the lowest, toads are middle class, and newts are the highest, a class doesn't automatically define the alignment of every single one.

Sure most frogs are good, but there are bad frogs as well, such as Renée Frodgers, Barry, and one member of the Hassleback Gang. As for the newts, they can be interpreted as snobby in general at first glance due to their high status, but during the second season, that's not necessarily the case for everyone. Bella, is young newt who is struggling financially, Professor Herringbone is a teacher who sees potential in students (even those who are frogs) and Priscilla and Pearl are a competitive mother-and-daughter duo who tend to gloat but still have morals and show good sportsmanship. Honestly, it's a shame that those newts didn't appear in "The three armies". They could've been good examples of how it is possible for different species to work together.

And then you have Lysil and Angwin, two olms who could've been just seen as predatory, period, but, they have shown a more caring side when Proteus was in danger. Also, I loved how Sasha stood up for them even though they just met.

In other words, it's not like in the Lion King franchise where all herbivores/onmivores are good (or easily let off the hook) or in the Mickey Mouse universe where all weasels are bad and don't have limits.

3. Dignity and worth in the side characters and even one-time characters.

When I say Dignity, I'm acknowledging how certain characters are able to be concerned about their own safety and know when it's too much.

This is shown in Percy and Braddock, since they acknowledged that they could've died and got upset when Sasha went back on her word. When they did that, I gained respect for them. You don't really see many henchmen doing that. Imagine, if in the Lion Guard, Chungu and Cheezi did the same thing to Janja, or if the weasels from Who Framed Roger Rabbit did the same thing after the fight at the bar.

When I say Worth, I'm referring to how many times a character appeared throughout the show/franchise.

It's pretty clear that Grime, Sasha, and Marcy as well as the wartwood citizens are recurring characters, so I'm have no worries for them. So, for most of the one-time characters, it was a bit of a surprise for me.

There were a lot of characters who I assumed would only appear once and then never appear again, such as the alligator Anne fed as well as most of the newt friends Anne made in Newtopia. However they did appear again in "A Day at the Aquarium", even it was just a cameo appearance, supporting Anne. Another example are some of the human characters that appeared in the third season, such as Molly Jo and Humphrey. I thought they'd only appear once and that would be it, but they appeared again and were willing to help. More examples, are Bailey the bitty who has been revealed to be doing well since the fight with the Hassleback Gang and chose to train under Grime for the rebellion, as well as Lysil and Angwin who appeared again and showed a caring side when they wanted to protect Proteus, despite the fact that they were exiled from the city. Plus, I didn't expect Apothecary Gary and Domino II to reappear for the last few episodes! And finally, a lot of these characters came together to help the main characters!

In other words, the characters that we thought would only appear once did show up a second time and are shown to be doing alright, showing how the writers gave them worth. Meanwhile, in the Lion King franchise, I still don't know WTF happened to Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed even when they were important figures. Missed opportunity, Lion Guard! And for the Monsters Inc franchise, in the show, the scream extractor was mentioned a lot and Randall wasn't at least brought up? He's not worthy of a mention?!

4. Songs and voice acting

While I appreciate the story itself, I also love additional elements as well as. The music score (specifically the end credits music and even the piano version of it) was lovely and the songs were nice to listen to. By songs, I'm referring to "It's no big deal" and Rebecca Sugar's Holiday song. Subsequently, the detailed visuals were also impressive, such as how the credits appear depending on the intensity of the episode (Examples: In "Olivia and Yunan" the screen was black as the credits rolled, and in "The Core and The King" The damaged painting of Andrias, Barrel, and Lief was burning down in the background as the credits rolled.)

In addition, I'm impressed at how Matt Braly is able to hire various voice actors for the show. To be more specific, I'm impressed at how he's able to get people like Susan Egan and Whoopi Goldberg to be on the show. On a somewhat unrelated note, Lysil and Angwin are now my favorite minor characters because of Angwin's voice actor Chris Wylde, who would eventually go on to voice Ribby in "The Cuphead Show".

5. How the ending made sense

This part is gonna be brief. While it would've been nice to see the girls still visit Amphibia, a fulfilled prophecy is a fulfilled prophecy. Since they've done their part in saving Amphibia, there's really no need for them to be there anymore. It's like what Nanny McPhee said, "When you need me but do not want me, then I must stay. When you want me but no longer need me, then I have to go."

So that's my review of Amphibia as a whole! Anything you agree/disagree with? Tell me in the comments!
