Even the cocky bosses get a happy ending

Description

I already stated all of this in a journal entry, but since that did not get a lot of much attention, I decided to use a meme to go with what I said in the entry. And here's the entry:

I don't mean to make a sappy feelings story here, but I thought I'd tell you guys about why I admire the game Cuphead, and it's not really about the game play.

Ever since I was little, I've always loved cartoons and remained loyal to that interest. They were always cool to me and I guess as of the moment, I am considered a cartoon nerd since most of my peers outgrew that interest, regardless if the content was impressive or meaningful. Basically, to my peers, if it was animated, it wasn't interesting. However, I am not like my peers, since I take the time to see if there is an animated show or movie that is really worth keeping track of.

However, if you ask me which cartoon characters I like, let me point out to you something: Princesses, main heroes, goofy sidekicks on the good side, those are the characters I'm usually NOT into.

As of the moment my favorite Disney movies are The Lion King, Hercules, Monsters Inc, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And if anyone asks me who my favorite characters are from these movies, my responses would be the last things a majority of kids would say are their favorite characters: Shenzi Banzai and Ed, Pain and Panic, Randall Boggs, and the Toon Patrol.

At one point in my life I was curious about why I usually like these kinds of characters, so I compared my favorite characters and noticed something about their features: these characters either had pointy snouts, cocky and/or clueless personalities, or are a species of animal kids would never consider as a favorite animal. Unfortunately, in the Disney industry, characters that have any of these features would automatically be casted as under the "evil" category. And as far as everyone knows, characters under that category never have a happy ending.

That dilemma was stuck in my head for a long time up to when I watched the Disney Junior show "The Lion Guard" on a regular basis. If you watch that show, then you automatically know that because of the characters I mentioned earlier, my favorite characters a Janja and his buddies. And since their bad guys (despite that fact that the true reason behind this is because they live in a barren wasteland with few resources), Kion is never "Hi SpongeBoob gonna let them in the Pridelands all because of a stupid circle!"

Then last year in December, when I was having an internship along with a few classmates, a friend of mine was playing the game "Cuphead". She let me try it out and it was quite entertaining. So, when I got home, I looked up the game and watched a few game plays of "Cuphead". Most of the bosses had the same features my favorite Disney characters have, which I had mentioned earlier, so they did seem like they were bad guys....at first. When I read the storyline and saw the good ending of the game, I was both surprised and happy to see that the heroes and bosses were celebrating together. In short, I was happy to see that in that game, everyone got a happy ending (well, except the Devil, of course).  Because of this, I asked my friend to help me download the game into my laptop and she did. And since then, I've been playing a game where at the end, everyone gets a happy ending. In addition, I finished the game with the good ending back in April.

So, what I'm basically saying is that if Werner Werman was a Disney character, he'd automatically get the role of a bad guy because of the way he looks. And if the hyena trio were a group boss in Cuphead, they would get a happy ending. In conclusion, if you have the same problem I had, which is liking characters that are labeled as bad guys just because of certain characteristics, then play "Cuphead", where everyone gets a happy ending.

My favourite Disney characters are probably The Toon Patrol, I just love weasels and I kind of see them as sort of Anti-Villains, since my head cannon is that they only joined Doom's plan so they could be spared from being dipped, and were planning to ditch him afterwards, also one of them (Greasy) is implied to be from Puerto Rico (his accent and the fact he speaks some Spanish, which is the national language of Puerto Rico, with some Taino words in there) which means he's a bit of representation of an island that barely gets any, which is both awesome and sad at the same time. Shame Disney has barely used them since Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
